Alexis N. Cirkinyan joined Kessel & Associates in 2002 and is now a Partner in the firm. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Loyola Marymount University in 1994, and earned her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in 1997.
Ms. Cirkinyan is a skilled litigator who is greatly respected by the many clients she has represented over the years. She manages complex litigation with ease, and has the enviable ability to maintain calm in highly stressful or hostile situations. Ms. Cirkinyan regularly represents municipalities and nonprofits on a wide range of legal issues, including labor and employment disputes; constitutional, statutory and regulatory violations; tort liability; improper sexual liability; and elder abuse. She is equally skilled at handling litigation in all its stages, including claims investigation; responses to government or regulatory agencies; analyzing, evaluating and drafting pleadings; and managing cases up through trial or ultimate resolution. Ms. Cirkinyan also has a talent for handling highly sensitive allegations and parties, including lawsuits involving the more particularly vulnerable in our society, including foster children, the developmentally disabled, and the elderly.
Ms. Cirkinyan was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1997 and practices in all California courts, in the United States District Court, the Central District of California, and in the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
